Happy Holidays

I decided to do a newsletter this year, ya know, so many people do those these days. And then I remembered how slow I am to get anything in the mail and will I forget someone? And in the process of trying to unpack boxes and find creative ways to store what we actually decide to keep, I realized "Am I crazy! I don't have time!" So I thought a Christmas newsletter blog style might be just the way! I know everyone wants to see pics and I promise they're coming, just as soon as I can get a phone line and a computer hooked up.
It's been quite a year for our family as most of you are aware. After the home fire last December the best decision was to tear down and start over. We were so fortunate to find a home to live in within two days and moved into so quickly. It has been very convenient living in Malta even though we had to move again after 4 monthes. But the two houses were close together so we didn't have to move far. It's been great for going to church and school or a quick snack or fast supper. We will miss those luxuries!
This November we celebrated my parents 50th Anniversary. It was alot of fun seeing many of the family and so many friends. I think it turned out to be a great evening for them.
Cody was living in Boise and moved back to Burley in May and is working full time for Mini Cassia Equipment. He is dating a gal from Oakley named Tori, but we told her we liked her anyway. (Oakley's our big school rival). She's a really neat girl.
Cade is a Senior and actively playing almost all the sports available. Right now he's involved in Basketball and they have a pretty good team this year. He's looking forward to Graduation.
Cheyenne is in the 6th grade. Thinks she's outgrown elementary school but not quite in Jr High School yet. She went into the Young Women's group in September and loves it. She's performing in her school play tomorrow as Mrs. Santa and she's very excited to be in the spotlight.
We've also had a new addition to our family in May. Isaac George Powers is 7 years old and we adopted him per his dad's request. He's a troubled little boy who loves life and is so excited about all the new possibilities he can enjoy. He still has contact with his Grandpa & Grandma Adams on his dad's side and they are so good to him. We love having him in our home.
Todd & I are both working full time. Todd is still at the State doing maintenance and now even a little snow plowing. And I work for the Santos family in Heyburn. I'm a secretary in their Iron Horse Auto/Total Waste Management/Centennial Truck Repair office. (Try and say that 3X fast). We're staying very busy. Todd spends most of his free time working the family ranch with his brother.
We moved into our new home on December 12th and are pretty settled but still living out of boxes. And probably will for a while. Hopefully by Spring we'll know where everything is.
Some of you will think this is all old news but some of you may know a little more about our family. We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We feel very blessed and grateful that 2009 has turned out to be a great year. Thank you for your support and love and kindness, it has meant so much to us. May 2010 be good to you and your families and we'll be thinking of you often. Happy Holidays!
