Well, Cade tied for 2nd place in the High Jump. It was a little disheartening but still very exciting to have him do so well. I think what was frustrating was that the boy that won had never done track before. This was his first year and in my opinion, it was the most evenly matched competition I have seen in a while. It was who wanted it the most that finally ended the competition.

He did very well in the triple jump- 38.5' That's pretty good but not enough to come back to the finals. We are so proud of Cade, he's wanted to do well at jumping for a long time and he is good. I'm so glad we have one more year. I couldn't handle it if he were graduating right now. There's too much still to do.

Considering the heat and the boredom, the kids did pretty good. Only a few moments of strangulation, (JK). They were awesome!

Because of the tie for 2nd, there was no 3rd place given. We were staying in the same hotel as Kendrick (the boy who won goes to school there). Really nice people. I think there's only one school I can live without.
